Itinenary

Day 1. Siem Reap (Angkor) (-/-/-).
Arrive to Siem Reap and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

Day 2. Siem Reap (Angkor) (3-4 h. walking) (B/-/-).
In the morning, transfer to the entrance of the Victoria Angkor Thom. Visit the temple and walk up to the "Door of the Dead", the Terrace of Elephants and Baphoun. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon walk across the West door to arrive to the local village. Brief time for visiting and continue to the so-called "Temple of the Corner" where we will see the sunset. Continue walking to the South Gate to take the car and return to Siem Reap.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

Day 3. Siem Reap (Angkor) – Phnom Kulen – Anlong Thom (5-6 h. walking) (B/-/-).
Very early in the morning, transfer to the impressive temple Beng Mealea, (its location is quite far from the main Angkor complex). The temple is totally overgrown by vegetation. Transfer by road up the mountain of Phnom Kulen. Travel through the pilgrims way (350 meters unevenness) and arrival at Phum Thmei where the cars stop. A brief visit to this town and continue on foot or by bike (depending on road conditions) to Sra Damrei, huge monolith stone dating from 10th century and which represents two elephants and two lions. Picnic lunch at the foot of the monumental sculptures completely hidden by dense vegetation. In the afternoon, we will walk through the jungle for 10 kilometres to the town of Anlong Thom. Stop en route to visit several temples. Arrive in the late afternoon to a pagoda where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4. Anlong Thom – Kbal Spean – Banteay Srei – Siem Reap (Angkor) (3 h. walking) (B/-/-).
Walk to the cars that will take us up to the waterfalls where we can, if desired, swim and we will have lunch. We must wait until 12 noon time when the forest guards allow visitors to descend. The walk will take place in a very narrow single-track road. Continue until Kbal Spean (River of the thousand Lingas). Ascent on foot (30 meters) to visit the relieves carved in the riverbed. Descend on foot to the cars to continue the trip by road to the temple of Banteay Srei. Return to Siem Reap where we will arrive late in the afternoon.

Day 5. Siem Reap (Angkor) (entire day to be spent cycling) (B/-/-).
Cycle to temple of Preah Khan. Visit and continue cycling through the ancient roads until temple of Ta Nei. Visit and continue  until temple of Ta Keo and Ta Phrom, completely overgrown with vegetation. Free time for lunch. Visit and back to Siem Reap with brief stops at the temples of Pre Rup and Banteay Kdei. Arrive at the hotel.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

Day 6. Siem Reap (Angkor) (4-5 h. walking) (B/-/-).
In the morning, transfer by car to Angkor Wat where we will spend the morning visiting the temples. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Banteay Samre and walk on the East Baray until Sras Srang’s pond to see the sunset. Return to the hotel.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

Day 7. Siem Reap (Angkor) (B/-/-).
Free time until transfer to airport.
